Oyakhilome Pastor Chris The Man

Pastor Chris Oyakhilome was born December 7th, 1963, in Edo State in Nigeria. He was raised in a religious family with loving, dedicated parents. He is the father of Elder T.E Oyakhilome who was one of the first pioneers of the Assemblies of God Church in Benin City. Angelina and the matriarch Oyakhilome were also his parents. The divine grace of her mother was passed down to her son in the early years of his life.

The whole family is actively engaged in the LoveWorld ministry. Reverend Ken is his brother. He is the revered Pastor at Christ Embassy’s Houston Texas Church. He is also a member of the Christ Embassy Central Executive Council. KattyWorghiren is the director of the LoveWorld Music and Arts Ministry that is home several top-selling gospel artists.

Pastor Chris is blessed with two daughters, Charlene and Carissa Sharon. Carissa Sharon chose to follow in her father’s footsteps of sharing God’s Word to the world. The name is CSO (Community Service Organization), she is a skilled gospel artist and part of the LoveWorld Music and Arts community.

Pastor Chris Oyakhilome started his studies at Edo College. After a scholarship was awarded to pursue a degree in architecture at Bendel State University (now Ambrose Ali University), he earned an BSc degree in Architecture as well as an honorary Doctor of Science. He holds an honorary degree in divinity from Benson Idahosa University. Ambrose Ali University was the location where he sensed God calling him to be a minister to the Lord.

Pastor Chris: The Mentor

The Man Of God was a student at University when he started the church that would grow to be one of the largest in the world. His prayer group, ‘Youth for Christ,’ would soon become one of the campus’ most popular groups. Pastor Chris led the LoveWorld ministry to become a pioneer in satellite TV and Christian production and programming on television. LoveWorldSAT was the first Christian television channel to be broadcast 24/7 from Africa through free-to-air networks. Today, LoveWorld stations can be located on cable and satellite TV networks around the world.

Christ Embassy has strong presences in Pastor Chris’s native Nigeria in addition to South Africa, Canada, the United Kingdom and the United States. It also operates two Healing Schools located in South Africa, Canada and the United States, where Pastor Chris runs sessions throughout the year, in which miracles are possible.

Music and Gospel Music form an integral aspect of worship. Pastor Chris supports Christ Embassy Churches and Loveworld Music and Arts Ministry to train choirs. Many of these musicians can become successful solo artists through Pastor Chris Oyakhilome’s inspiration and guidance.

The Future African Leaders Foundation, (FALF), is an organization that seeks to continue the work of Pastor Chris. The goal of the foundation is to celebrate and support the extraordinary achievements of young, talented leaders. Pastor Chris invests in the youth of today to prepare them for the future of leaders.

Pastor Chris: The Philanthropist

Pastor Chris Oyakhilome was a passionate donor who established the Chris Oyakhilome Foundation (COFI) a nonprofit, nongovernmental organisation with the aim of helping the most disadvantaged communities and people in the most deprived regions and countries around the world.

As well as preaching the Gospel as well as preaching the Gospel, the Man of God has created NGOs with a a mission of delivering vital services and hope to the vulnerable, needy and lost souls. The five partners of COFI share a common aim: to raise living standards and enhance the quality of life in poorest regions.

COFI is responsible for the InnerCity Mission ICM for Children as well as the Volunteer Medical Corps VMC, Traumacare International Foundation TCIF, Future Africa Leaders Foundation (FALF) along with the Bible For All Mission. Each of these groups works to improve the lives and health of the most vulnerable.

The charity also offers assistance for children who are in need. Pastor Chris is a firm believer in the importance of solid communities through COFI, The InnerCity Mission and the development of good governance, accountable leadership and sustainable development both in Africa and in other regions of the world according to the Sustainable Development Goals.
